Each Fantasy Sumo league is contested by eight teams.
Before each basho, each team will be selected through a serpentine draft.
Each team will select four rikishi for the duration of each basho.
The team with the highest total score at the end of each basho will be the winner.
A team’s score is the total of each individual rikishi.
A rikishi gets two points for each win.
A rikishi gets one point for each special prize.
A rikishi gets one point for a kinboshi (beating a Yokozuna)
In case of injury and a rikishi going kyujo for the remainder of a tournament, the team will be able to select a replacement from rikishi not on any other team, whose wins from that point forward will count to the team’s total.
Teams can switch out rikishi from the Free Agents for each round if desired.
