- List the teams with meets that week each week on the page where you select the gymnastics
- Gymnast stats next to their name (Avg, NQS, High, and stats for freshman based on their last year meets)
- When you select the gymnasts and they appear on right had side, have them appear organized by event rather than the current way they're organized so you can easily see who you have per event
- Have gymnasts' school listed next to their name so you can see that too after you move them to right hand side

I agree with the suggestion of 6 up 5 count since we often don’t know ahead of time who may be randomly out of a lineup. Love the rest of the format though! Can’t wait!

Since it's still a 5 up 5 count format, would it be possible to post the fantasy teams with highest event scores as well each week? Might help soften the blow when we think we've chosen well and there's a particularly surprising 0 of someone not going and it hits our overall score hard.

I'm glad you suggested this. I've been hoping they'd announce who won each event each week too. No need for prizes but like you said, it might help keep spirits up when there are unpredictable lineup changes that leave us with zeros!
guys chill about missing scores until like Thursday. I’m pretty sure their having to do this semi-manually.
This was my first week, and I've counted a zero with Rowray out of the line up with injury. I'm adding my voice to the chorus of people suggesting a 6th athlete on the team; BUT, to maintain the integrity of the idea of 5 up, 5 count, perhaps we could nominate 1 "reserve" athlete on each apparatus that only has a counting score if there is a withdrawal from one of the main 5? That way, even if the 6th athlete's score is higher, it won't count if your main 5 all post a score (which means you have to be strategic with your choices).

i was going suggest almost the same, but my idea would be to use leftover budget to set one candidate that is substituted for potential zeros instead of one per apparatus. one all-arounder from a smaller school could be a good choice as reserve and would prob still fit into the current budget rules! For people that want to gamble, they can leave the spot open and make use of the full budget :)

We would love to, but at the moment we don't have a way to pull the data in a real-time manner. We're hoping we get faster at it though.
Was thrilled to get my highest score so far this week -- 197.900. Was convinced I would break the top 100, unfortunately still haven't done that. :( But still loving the fantasy league! Thank you again for doing this...its been so much fun!

I hesitate to say anything, because this will lower my score, but I have three scores that don't match what I wrote down for these gymnasts.
Maile O'Keefe (UB) should be 9.925. It's currently showing as a 9.875.
Aria Brusch (UB) should be 9.825. It's currently showing as a 9.850.

For Maile, the 9.925 is actually correct as Utah competed on Saturday AND Monday for Week 2. She scored better on Monday...though it seems like maybe they did change this as on my roster she is showing scored as a 9.875, but it should be 9.925! [Since teams were still locked for making week 3 edits when they competed, I believe these scores should count for week 2....but make sure you take any Utah gymnasts out of your week 3 lineups as they are not competing this weekend]
Note - also I believe Alani Sabado should increase form 9.750 to 9.775 since she did better on Monday.

Sorry if I was unclear. Yes, Maile should be a 9.925 for UB, but she is showing right now as having scored the 9.875. When I said a score was "showing," I meant that's the score that is showing by the gymnast's name, but it's incorrect. They did say the higher of the two scores would count, so if a gymnast competed on both Saturday and Monday, the higher of the two scores should be the one we get.

Ahh yah you said it right! My bad!! Was thrown of by “score will lower” comment, but that was for the other 2!! Well, I don’t know about you, but Maile is now showing as 99.925 for me haha, so score went way up!

I saw that! Looks like that's fixed, but Gianna Gerdes and Aria Brusch still have the wrong bars scores for me. Yes, those are the two scores that will lower my current score. At least we don't have to count Maile's beam fall score, though.

First, thanks for doing this. It has been fun! Second, I’ve seen some comments and suggestions about the zeros, so I figured I’d add to that (but I recognize I have no idea what kind of options this platform allows). I would love to see 6 up, 5 scores count just like the actual NCAA meets. It could be interesting to leave the allowance at $75,000, but let us decide if we want to play it safe and spread our money out across 6 gymnasts, or be more risky and only add 5. I recognize avoiding zeros is part of the challenge to a point, but I think it would be more fun to have some kind of system to drop our lowest scores. I’d prefer to still count 5 scores though (instead of 5 up 4 count) just so the final score stays similar to the college meets. Thanks for listening, and if nothing changes, I’ll still have fun! :-)

I would be fine with this as well. Right now though, with 5 up 5 counting it seems like the winner may just be the person who picks the most gymnasts who happen to stay healthy. Performance is secondary to health--I could have 5 of my gymnasts fall and score 9.0 or below, and I'd still have a better score than someone who had 4 10s and an injury!
Is there a way for us to see the total number of teams? I'm curious where I placed within the group.

I just listened to the show and at the end she said that you can't update your lineup until either Monday night or Tuesday morning.

I definitely prefer this selection process with funds to spend, over the other fantasy gym I've seen in the past. Being able to select athletes we're familiar with gives a more vested interest in how it plays out. The computer generated draft usually resulted in one or two familiar gymnasts at most.

Although this will hurt my score a little, I need to point out that Isabella Minervini of Towson has the wrong bars score. It was entered as a 9.975, but she actually received a 9.95. I verified this with Road to Nationals. I fixed it in the spreadsheet. Can you run the update again? Thanks for a great fantasy league season, and I'm looking forward to what comes next.
The "winner" this week somehow has a score over 200, with 22 gymnasts on their team. How did that happen?

LOL I had a surprise this week too, with Isabella Minervini not competing floor, so I counted a zero too :-) I got to 187.325 this week with a zero and a fall, so I'm pretty happy with my lineups, all things considered. But I'd love to have at least one week where I don't count a zero! Our day will come :-)

Ugh, not me having to count two zeros this week with Sage not competing today. I had her in my vault and bars line-ups. Just when I thought this was going to be a big week for me with a 49.6 on floor (still waiting for beam to be complete) Boo!! More importantly, does anyone know if she is injured?? Hope she is okay!

I'm actually enjoying the 5-up-5-count format. Yes, there are chances of getting zeroes, but that's part of the challenge. How good are we at predicting who will be in a lineup and doing well? And as for the zeroes, the way I look at it as, if you picked a gymnast that gave you a zero, odds are you are not the only one who picked that gymnast. For example, I am counting zeroes from Luisa Blanco and Gabby Gladieux on floor so far this week. I take comfort in knowing that I am not the only one who picked these people for those events, and therefore I am not suffering alone. I am hoping the rest of my people do well, and there's always next week. It's not like we're out actual money. The important thing is that we're having fun.
Also, I like that the scores are updating more quickly with the crowdsourced spreadsheet, but I just thought I'd let you know that Suki Pfister's 10.0 vault isn't showing up yet.

I think the fact that everyone is gonna get some zeros here and there makes me feel fine about that part. I would have almost hit 198 this week without someone getting hurt in warm up. It happens

I agree, the luck aspect of whether or not your chosen athlete competes has taken a little of the fun out of it for me. We have no contingency plan.

Awesome! Yeah I was trying to adjust my picks for the week and keep hitting teams that don't have meets like Iowa, Arkansas, Stanford etc! I know I will get better at this and it will get easier as more teams get into season. Thanks so much for putting this together, I'm excited!

If you have your drop-down menu set to floor, right underneath it is a search bar. Just begin typing her name, and it'll come up. You can get her for $1000.

I updated the scores for Southern Utah and BYU on the spreadsheet this morning (the scores that had improved, since both teams also competed Friday night). If score updates come solely from the spreadsheet, I would recommend running the update again so the better scores come across for those athletes.

I believe Isabella Minervini should reflect a 9.925 on UB for week 5, because Towson had meets on Friday and Sunday and she competed bars at both meets. I think we were going with the better of the two scores in those situations? If so please adjust that one to 9.925 which was her Friday score :-)

The lineups locked on Thur. at noon PT this because there was a meet Thur. evening. We tried to let everyone know through our newsletter and social media. In general, we look to lock lineups at noon PT on the day the first meet of the week begins.

They're using the college news "Byes and Double Headers" to keep track of which gymnasts aren't competing each week. Utah is on the Byes list for week 3, and her score was included in week 2. https://collegegymnews.com/2023/12/01/2024-byes-double-headers/

Yeah me too, all zeros but in the last few hours I've had a couple of athletes scores applied (but I'm missing about 110pts worth). Maybe it's just taking a while to update the huge number of athletes... or it's just so popular that we've melted down the fantasy league.

Don't worry...They input scores as the day goes on. It takes a day or so to input all the scores.

is there a setting I’m missing that allows me to see the team I selected? or am I meant to completely forget between Wednesday and Tuesday so every Tuesday is like Christmas? the only way I’ve been able to see my team is through the website and scrolling through all 500 names and counting the “x” players. do they not export to a list or collate or anything?

Yes, if a team has 2 meets they count the highest score. I have Maile on beam too and was so happy about this!

D, this is the dream. In order for this to happen we need a streamlined way of getting the scores into the system. We're working on it.
